?? COVID UPDATE - Tuesday January 19
?? For the second day running, there were NO NEW CASES of community transmission in NSW in the 24 hours to 8pm, but testing numbers are still down and remain a concern for NSW Health.
?? Still no easing of restrictions in the Central Coast area which I have to say is mystifying given they've only had three cases (all from the same household and all contained) in the past four months. Other States have even opened their borders to Central Coast residents. Bear in mind that if you're visiting the Central Coast (or Greater Sydney) masks are still mandatory indoors and visitor limits apply to homes.
?? The Hunter-New England region has now gone 165 days without a locally-acquired case.
?? There was also 2 new cases among the returned overseas travellers in hotel quarantine over the past 24 hours.
?? Australia's death toll remains at 909 with 56 in NSW and 820 in Victoria.
?? The number of active cases in NSW is 113. Victoria has 34, there are 26 in QLD, 13 in WA, 11 in SA and 7 in the NT. Tasmania and the ACT have zero.
?? Please continue to stay safe, vigilant, maintain the social distancing, and wear a mask if you have to visit places where social distancing is difficult.
?? Don't forget, if you have any symptoms, however minor, please self-isolate and get tested immediately.
