?? COVID UPDATE - Monday January 4
?? ZERO COMMUNITY TRANSMISSION ??
?? There has been zero community transmission anywhere in NSW in the 24 hours to 8pm which is great news, however NSW Health has confirmed 2 cases after 8pm and they will be included in tomorrow’s figures. There were also 7 new cases among the returned overseas travellers.
?? The Hunter-New England region has now gone ??150 DAYS??without a locally-acquired case and that’s quite a milestone for our local community.
?? Please also remember that the wearing of masks is now mandatory if you’re visiting most indoor places on the Central Coast or Greater Sydney.
?? Australia's death toll remains at 909 with 56 in NSW and 820 in Victoria.
?? NSW now has 188 active cases (as at 8pm). Victoria has 36, there are 17 in QLD, 19 in WA, 9 in SA, 1 in TAS and 11 in the NT. The ACT has zero. (All States except NSW include overseas traveller cases in their 'active case' numbers. In NSW, the traveller cases are included in the 'being treated' figure in the graphic below.)
?? Please continue to stay safe, vigilant, maintain the social distancing, and wear a mask if you have to visit places where social distancing is difficult.
?? Don't forget, if you have any symptoms, however minor, please self-isolate and get tested as soon as possible
