We're in for a scorching weekend

The Bureau of Meteorology is predicting that temperatures on the western side of Lake Macquarie will hit 37 tomorrow and 43 on Sunday as a heatwave stretches across most of the country.
Please try to stay cool, look after your elderly family members and neighbours as well as your pets.
Not a bad idea to keep a bowl of cool water outside for the birds and local wildlife too.
Total fire bans have not been issued yet, but they very likely will be as this extreme heat develops over the next few days.
