No active Covid case in the region

Hunter Health has advised that we currently have NO diagnosed or active cases of Covid-19 in the Hunter Region.

That's great news and something I didn't think I'd be saying for some time.

Thanks to everyone who has done their bit to help contain this highly-infectious disease.

This weekend, more people will be out and about, and more people will be visiting from outside of the area, so we have to remain vigilant, hygienic and socially distanced.

Have a safe and happy long weekend. My thanks to all the emergency services and essential workers who will be working.
